To Show Up
Let yourself start over again and again, to forget, to remember, to try again. Let yourself get angry, sad, everything in-between. Even if people didn't like it, walked away because of it, let yourself feel every emotion. Commit to habits, routines, ways of beings that make you feel good, but if you forget, can't or fail, don't berate yourself, get back up, learn from it, and try again. That is what this life is for, trying and trying and trying again. When you learn that the practise is failing, getting up, brushing yourself off and trying again, you realise what life is made of. It is not in the success but in the trying again, in the learning, the reflection and the practise.
Be curious, of why. Why you struggled, why you were needy, desperate, in need of validation. Be curious with your fears, your anxieties, with your thoughts, allowing these feelings to flow through you. Those that were learnt and developed over the course of your life but were never your fault.
But now remain curious of them, understand what they may be and know that whilst they may have never been your fault, they are now yours to claim. Yours to take responsibility for and overcome.
Let yourself feel everything, the bad, the good and the ugly. Understanding that life is full of emotions, that some people experience deeper emotions than others and that is ok. We are all the same but we are all different, to compare would amount to nothing, struggle and lack.
Commit. Commit to getting up again and again. Commit to loving every part of yourself. Commit to the struggle, to the joy, to the learning, the growth and the experience. The hard amazing ugly beautiful journey of life.
