Lets Be Honest
We constantly seek validation and approval from others, especially those we believe don’t like us . Humans have always sought social acceptance, jumping from trend to trend so others may think well of us. A social chameleon, a mask you need to wear, so much so that no one really knows the real you. We loose ourselves, but not just that, we loose the trust in who we are, what we like or what we enjoy. Fixated on what might make other people like us.
To fit, to be whole, to feel part of something bigger than ourselves.
To be sure of who you are is a journey, to find where you are going. To start validating yourself instead of seeking it outside of yourself.
Even if your journey has involved inconsistent love, a roller-coaster relationship yourself, you can learn another route, another way, a way which puts who you are the centre.
To learn different.
While you might not be there yet, the more you stand by the person you actually are, keep showing up daily as that person, keep coming back the further away you feel, you will start to see this slow change, it may be in who you surround yourself with, what you put up with, what you choose to do in life. But the most instrumental change will be actually showing up as the person who is truly you.
