To Be Alone

It all begins when you have had enough. Enough of looking for validation in other people, in people that will never be able to fulfil this hunger. Fearing being alone in your own company. Enough. You realise you have had enough of the wanting, the needing, the seeking. What if you learnt to be alone, alone with your thoughts, alone with the need. Instead of constantly seeking outwards, you finally went inwards?

If only it was that easy.

Understanding our solitude, the joy of it, the loneliness of it, all of what lies in the in-between. To explore this, to go on this journey, the ups and the downs, may mean that in the end, we find a world that lies within us, that belongs only to us, which we begin to understand was there along.
